Overview

Reports are downloadable deliverables Dexter builds for you — PDFs to circulate, Excel workbooks to work with, Word documents to edit, PowerPoint decks to present. A report generated during a conversation appears immediately in the Reports chip of the dock above the message composer, and every report is saved to the Reports tab of the Data page so you can find it again later.

Supported Formats

Word (.docx) is fully supported — ask for one whenever you want a deliverable you can edit yourself.

The Design System

Every PDF and every deck Dexter delivers follows the PRODEX design system — executive, numbers-first, clarity first. It’s a shared visual chassis: typography and color tokens, cover pages, running headers and footers, stat callouts, table styles, and a common chart style. Two PDFs from Dexter, months apart, on different subjects, look like they came from the same organization — because they did.
  • PDFs and decks always carry the design system.
  • Excel and Word don’t — Excel is data-first, and Word is meant to be edited freely.
Every report also carries a short AI disclaimer, so anyone it gets forwarded to knows how it was produced.

Creating a Report

Ask at any time:
  • “Generate a PDF summary of the last simulation run.”
  • “Export the bottleneck analysis as an Excel workbook.”
  • “Put this together as a deck for Thursday’s review.”
  • “I need a Word draft of the recommendations that I can edit.”
Dexter also suggests a report at natural moments — after a substantial analysis, a scenario comparison, or an experiment — as a one-sentence offer at the end of its response. If you don’t want it, ignore it. When you don’t specify a format, Dexter picks the obvious one (PDF for a narrative summary, Excel for a data export) or asks.

Finding and Downloading Reports

  • In the conversation — the Reports chip in the dock above the composer shows every deliverable the conversation has produced; click one to preview or download it.
  • Later, from anywhere in the factory — open the Reports tab on the Data page. Every report Dexter has generated in this factory is listed with its filename and date.
  • Downloaded copies are yours — they’re ordinary files with no link back to ProDex, ready to share with people who don’t use the platform.

Reports vs. User Files

  • Reports are files Dexter produces for you to download and share.
  • User files are files you attach for Dexter to read.
Both live on the Data page — deliverables under Reports, uploads under My Data.
