Overview

The Settings dialog holds your personal preferences for how ProDex behaves and looks. All settings are scoped to your account — changing them does not affect your teammates. Open Settings by clicking the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar. The dialog has panels listed on the left side, each covered below.
There is a separate Settings panel inside Dexter’s left sidebar that controls Dexter-specific preferences like desktop notifications. The two are independent — the gear icon opens application-wide settings, while the Dexter sidebar panel controls agent behavior.

Modeler

Canvas Display

Layout

Preferences for the Layout builder.
Layout preferences are not yet available. This panel displays a “Coming soon” placeholder. Layout-specific settings (grid snapping, measurement units, visual defaults) will appear here in a future update.

Appearance

Controls the display language for the ProDex interface.

Switching languages affects the entire platform UI — sidebar labels, dialog text, button labels, and system messages. Content you create (model names, entity names, conversation messages) stays in whatever language you wrote it in.

Account

View your account details and sign out.
  • Email — the email address associated with your account (read-only), managed by your organization’s identity provider.
  • Logout — signs you out of ProDex and returns you to the login screen.
Account details are managed through your organization’s identity provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or SSO). To change your email or account association, contact your organization’s admin. For more on how accounts are created and roles work, see First Login.

The Sidebar Bottom Bar

The bottom of the sidebar groups several utility items alongside Settings:
  • Notifications (bell icon) — opens an inbox of tenant-level notifications: alerts when a teammate shares a factory with you, publishes updates to a shared factory, or other organization-wide events. This is separate from Dexter’s desktop notifications, which are about agent task completion.
  • Feedback — opens a form to send bug reports or suggestions to the ProDex team. You can include a screenshot.
  • Team (admin-only) — opens the Team Management page for managing enrollment, roles, and membership across your organization. Members do not see this item.
  • Settings (gear icon) — opens the Settings dialog described on this page.
